Future scope of 6G technology : As the mobile handset market grows, wireless telecommunication networks are widely deployed across the globe to handle the growth.

As a result, wireless standards have evolved from 1G to 6G. A group of companies formed the Third Generation Partnership Project (TGP) to develop and maintain mobile telecom protocols.

As a result, GSM was the first major standardization success followed by UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, LTE and LTE-advanced, as well as 5G NR and 6G.

Various wireless technologies are supported by each of these standards. offering differing data rates, coverages, subscriber densities and unique advanced features (services) for users.

We live in a world that is increasingly technologically advanced thanks to wireless technology. including self-driving cars and Internet-connected coffee machines, smart sensors that monitor medical conditions and robot factories.

We need to define the 6G standard, and understand the benefits and challenges of 6G as the demand for connectivity increases.


5G Wireless

5G stands for fifth-generation wireless technology. Recently, in April of 2019, 5G NR  launched after several years of research and testing.

It is a precursor to the 4G LTE technology and follows the 3GPP roadmap. Release 15 and Beyond of the 3GPP specifications used in this technology.

As per the 3GPP specifications published in December 2017, 5G NR (New Radio) deployed in different phases. It  deployed in two modes – optical and radio waves.

A stand-alone (SA) or non-stand-alone (NSA) solution based on individual or combined RAT operation. Standalone mode does not require LTE RAT.

6G Wireless

The 6G technology employs a cell-less architecture, in which the UE will connect to the RAN instead of to an individual cell.

6G: Faster than fast

A virtual meeting can reduce trips over long distances and the number of in-person conferences needed. Using 6G technology, medical professionals can diagnose and prescribe treatments across continents for better emergency response.

Collaborating, being open, and employing cloud technology across many industries will be essential to addressing these challenges.

Several aspects of 6G systems and infrastructure managed by AI as billions of machines become connected to each other.

It is a challenging task to build these AI systems, but those who succeed will enjoy improved performance, lower costs, and access to a wide range of useful services.

6G will be available when?

At present, 6G is in a research phase. Scientists and engineers are already studying what the 6G standard may include even as the 5G standard is receiving the most attention right now.

A new rollout of 3G (2000), 4G (2010) or 5G (2020) has taken place approximately every ten years. The earliest commercial deployments made in 2029 to test the standard and flesh out implementation details.

A larger commercial deployment will follow in the following years, perhaps in 2030.

As far as speed and reliability are concerned, 6G offers exciting possibilities. Our hyper-connected world will continue to improve with the advancement of technology as we continue to work and live virtually.

As we usher in a new era of technology, companies are already considering possible uses for 6G, although the technology is still a decade away.


What will 6G look like?

Sixth-generation wireless sensing solutions uses different frequencies selectively for measuring absorption, then adjust frequencies accordingly.

It is possible to use this method since all atoms and molecules emit electromagnetic radiation at the same frequency and absorb it at the same frequency.

Additionally, improvements in these fields can be beneficial to mobile technologies as well as emerging technologies. including smart cities, autonomous vehicles, virtual reality, and augmented reality.

Beyond 4G

“Beyond 4G (B4G)” was coined a decade.ago to recognize the need to move past the standard LTE for the next evolution of 4G.

It was unclear what 5G might entail, and only pre-standards prototypes developed at the time. Initially, the term B4G was used to refer to possibilities and potential benefits of 4G beyond what is currently available.

It is ironic that parts of LTE are being used for 5G and some aspects of it are still in development.

With B5G, we will replace fifth-generation features and applications with 6G technologies. This is similar to B4G.

In the past five years, 5G used for many private wireless implementations among enterprises and industrial customers, laying the groundwork for 6G.

It takes to the next level with 6G wireless networks. As with photovoltaic solar power, they will create a web of communications providers.

The 5G network will bring many changes to the data center, such as virtualization, programmable networks, and edge computing. as well as concerns about supporting public and private networks simultaneously.

As an example, some business customers may have a hybrid on-premises/hosted RAN combined with edge and core computing.

In order to collect information. 6G radio networks will allow communication and data gathering. This market will require a systems approach, however.

Implimentation of data analytics artificial intelligence, and next-generation computational capabilities based on HPC and quantum computing.

As many new technologies converge with 6G, the core fabric of the communications network transformed as well. Artificial intelligence will play a major role in 6G.

In addition, a new kind of core, the so-called nanocore. It has the potential to integrate aspects of HPC and AI.

Physical Component

Suppose this vision becomes a reality, then the nano-core need not be a physical component of the network but a collection of computational resources that are shared  many networks and systems.
